2018: The White House misspells the word “separation” in an executive order that ostensibly puts an end to President Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy of dividing immigrant families seeking asylum. The order is titled “Affording Congress an Opportunity to Address Family Seperation[sic]” before being corrected.
2004: Major League Baseball (MLB) prospect Matt Bush is arrested for investigation of trespassing, disorderly conduct and assault in Peoria, Arizona. The arrest occurs just two weeks after Bush is selected first overall by the San Diego Padres in the MLB draft.
1967: Muhammad Ali is convicted of violating Selective Service laws by refusing to be drafted.
