Written by as part of Failure Analysis
The New Jersey Nets defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 97-91 on Friday night at the Izod Center, ending the club’s season-long losing streak at 18 games, an NBA record.
It was the team’s first game under the direction of general manager Kiki Vandewghe, who will serve as head coach for the remainder of the season.
Coincidentally, New Jersey’s next-most-recent win also came at home against Charlotte on April 13.
The Nets are now 1-18 and face the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday Dec. 6.
