Slow order leads to alleged assault at KFC

Slow order leads to alleged assault at Norwell, Massachusetts, KFC.

A couple perturbed about the slow delivery of their fried chicken order at a KFC in Norwell, Massachusetts, allegedly assaulted a man who complained about their use of foul language and asked them to stop for the sake of the children in the restaurant.

Police say as the man was leaving the KFC, Jared Garfagna, 31, of Marshfield, Mass., ran up behind him and punched him in the back of the head. After the man fell to the ground, Garfagna’s girlfriend, Sara Mohn, 24, also of Marshfield, allegedly started kicking him.

The couple then fled the scene, but were stopped by police a short distance away. Garfagna was charged with assault and battery. Mohn [above] was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police say the victim suffered cuts and scratches but refused medical treatment.
