August 13, 1939: First attempted murder, of Lina Budzinski (stabbed repeatedly)

December 14, 1939: Second attempted murder, of Hertha Jablinski (stabbed repeatedly)

July 27, 1940: Third attempted murder, of Mrs. Gertrud Nieswandt (stabbed)

August 21, 1940: Fourth attempted murder, of Mrs. Julie Schuhmacher (knocked unconscious and raped)

September 20, 1940: Fifth attempted murder (and first on the S-Bahn), of Ms. Gerda Kargoll (strangled until unconscious, then thrown from a moving train)

October 4, 1940: First murder victim, Mrs. Gertrude Gerda Ditter (Strangled and stabbed to death)
